FZ Prop 4 is a no-tax-increase $125-million bond issue for maintenance, upgrades and additions for FZSD’s 27 schools and 5 support facilities. It requires 57% approval to pass and would not increase taxes for residents.
Prop 4 is the final piece of a 10-year facilities plan set in motion in 2012. It will provide funds for regular maintenance, necessary upgrades and additions across FZSD. With low interest rates and a strong bonding capacity, FZSD will only extend the life of its current debt repayment schedule by four years (to 2042) while protecting the community’s investment in its school facilities.
